The UNMC MLS Program is accredited through The National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Science (NAACLS). Successful completion of the 11+ Month UNMC MLS Program leads to a baccalaureate of science degree in Medical Laboratory Science and qualifies you to take MLS national certification examinations, such as the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP BOC) MLS generalist examination.
The UNMC MLS Program cannot determine whether the program meets current licensing requirements in all states. We encourage you to contact a state’s licensing board for more specific licensing requirement information. For a current list of states requiring MLS state licensure (not all states require a license) and their licensing board contact information, see the ASCP BOC State Licensure information page.
