The Degree Advancement Options are great opportunities for working healthcare professionals to earn an advanced degree while continuing to work in their professions. Qualified candidates are assigned an advisor, who works with each student to develop an Individual Plan of Study (IPS) for degree completion.
The Individual Plan of Study includes the program curriculum and tailors each professional's clinical and educational background to his or her professional goals. Students are allowed up to five years to complete each degree advancement option. The pace at which each student progresses is determined by the individual, creating a flexible and convenient learning environment that allows students to work in their home communities while completing one of these degrees:
- Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science (BSMLS) DAO: for working professionals, who have completed an accredited MLT/CLT program and are board certified or registry eligible, to complete a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Laboratory Science.
- Bachelor of Science in Medical Imaging and Therapeutic Sciences (BSMITS) DAO: for imaging and therapeutic science professionals, who have completed an accredited program and are board certified, to complete a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Imaging and Therapeutic Sciences.
- Master of Perfusion Science (MPS) DAO: is a great opportunity for perfusionists, who have completed a CAAHEP-accredited program, to complete a Master of Perfusion Science degree.
- Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) DAO: Not currently accepting new students.
