Application Process for Physician Assistant Education

The University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) PA program participates in the Central Application Service for Physician Assistants (CASPA). Applications, recommendation forms, and Transcripts Request Forms may be obtained from the CASPA website starting around May 1st of each calendar year.

Results of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) General Test (verbal, quantitative, and analytical) must be sent to CASPA with the UNMC PA Education Program Code 4917. GRE scores must be sent during the open CASPA application cycle in order to be attached to your application.

June 1
Suggested time to start application on the CASPA website.

August 1
Suggested submission of CASPA application to insure adequate processing time and verification by CASPA.

September 1
Final application deadline to submit CASPA application. (See Applicant Checklist)
Final deadline for all application materials, including transcripts, references and GRE scores, to be received by CASPA.

October – December


July 15
Entering students must have completed all required course work and submit official transcripts.
