SUN-APTA Career Fair - Internship Interviews

The Students of the University of Nebraska American Physical Therapy Association (SUN-APTA) were delighted to invite your organization to the UNMC Physical Therapy Networking and Career Fair that was held October 7, 2022. The Career Fair is always a great opportunity for your organization, as well as our students, to meet with future employers while promoting what your company has to offer.

Truhlsen Events Center, 619 S 42nd St, Omaha, NE 68198, with the ability to use the loading/unloading zone/area.

12:45 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Meet 2nd-Year PT Students
2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Meet 3rd-Year PT Students
3:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Take-down

Registration

The registration donation of $250 includes a 6’ display table with cover, and privacy dividers. Due to COVID, each booth will be limited to two representatives.

  1. The scholarly and professional development of PT Students
    • National Conferences such as CSM and NSC
    • Help Students attend International Service Trips
  2. Donating to:
    • Hosting inter-professional clinics (Sharing / Goodlife Charity Clinics) for underserved individuals in our community
    • Families for a Thanksgiving meal
    • Nebraska Physical Therapy Association (NPTA)
    • American Physical Therapy Association (APTA)
  3. Projects:
    • The Young Athletes Program - an exercise program to prepare young people who are not yet old enough to participate in the Special Olympics
    • Joint Effort Hosting: an annual volleyball tournament with students at Creighton University to raise money for the Nebraska Arthritis Foundation
  4. Hosting campus events to raise awareness of PT as a profession
    • Campus events during Physical Therapy Month
    • Presentations to physical therapy clubs at UNO and UNL
    • Compensating speakers to share their expertise in a variety of educational topics
  5. Many other opportunities
