MITS Early Acceptance Pipeline:
The UNMC College of Allied Health Professions offers an early acceptance pipeline for secondary Medical Imaging & Therapeutic Sciences (MITS) programs that can be completed upon finishing the UNMC Radiography program. Those secondary MITS programs are:
- Cardiovascular Interventional Technology (CVIT)
- Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS)
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
- Radiation Therapy (RTT)
This pipeline is designed for individuals who apply for the UNMC Radiography program knowing that studying a secondary MITS program at UNMC is their ultimate goal. Applicants who choose to apply through the early acceptance pipeline will complete the Radiography program application during the normal admissions cycle. Applicants who interview for the Radiography program will be asked if there is an interest in one of the secondary MITS programs.
Applicants accepted to the UNMC Radiography program, but not accepted to the secondary MITS program through the early acceptance pipeline will be allowed to apply to the secondary MITS program of their choice again during their final year of the UNMC Radiography program.
Questions regarding the MITS Early Acceptance Pipeline can be directed to CAHP Enrollment Management & Student Affairs at cahpadmissions@unmc.edu or via phone at 402-559-6673.
