These awards were presented at Convocation on Friday May 6, 2022, at the CHI Health Center.
Each spring, we honor faculty award recipients for Significance in Research, Excellence in Teaching, Excellence in Clinical Teaching, Innovative Scholarship, and Outstanding Service to the Allied Health Professions.
The College Awards Committee invites faculty, staff, and students to nominate based on the following criteria for each award:
- Award criteria for Excellence in Clinical Teaching
- Note: The purpose of the Excellence in Clinical Teaching Award is to recognize a clinical preceptor who has demonstrated excellence in clinical teaching and has made significant contributions to the educational development of future allied health professionals.
- Award criteria for Excellence in Teaching
- Note: Persons holding Faculty Appointments at UNMC are eligible to be nominated. If uncertain about the faculty status of a nominee, check with Nicki Simmons (402.559.7998) or email prior to submitting a nomination form.
- Award criteria for Innovative Scholarship
- Note: Persons holding Faculty Appointments at UNMC are eligible to be nominated. If uncertain about the faculty status of a nominee, check with Nicki Simmons (402.559.7998) or email prior to submitting a nomination form.
- Award criteria for Outstanding Service
- Note: The purpose of the Award for Outstanding Service to the Allied Health Professions is to honor an individual whose contributions are significant to the advancement of the professions, health care in general, or to allied health education. The nominee may be a full-time, part-time, or volunteer faculty member at UNMC or elsewhere, or a lay person. He or she need not have had an affiliation with the University of Nebraska.
