UNMCThe University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha is an academic health science center that includes colleges of medicine, nursing, dentistry, and pharmacy; allied health programs, a graduate studies and research program, a University hospital, a rehabilitation institute, a cancer research institute, and a medical staff group practice. UNMC also has a completely renovated medical library and media facilities.

Nebraska Medicine is comprised of the former Clarkson and University Hospitals. A total of 20,000 anesthetics are performed yearly. Nebraska Medicine is a tertiary care facility licensed for 735 beds. This facility in cooperation with Creighton University Medical Center provides Omaha and its surrounding communities with the only level one trauma coverage in the region. The hospital supports a range of medical specialties and subspecialties and is known internationally, nationally and regionally for its efforts in solid organ and bone marrow transplantation. Other areas of excellence include cardiology, oncology, neuroscience, high risk obstetrics, neonatology, genetics and geriatrics.

Veterans' Administration Medical CenterVeterans' Administration Medical Center provides a broad range of acute medical, surgical and psychiatric care. It is licensed for 226 beds and administers almost 2,000 anesthetics every year. The VA Medical Center has six operating rooms and is staffed by surgeons from both UNMC and Creighton University.

Children's Hospital & Medical CenterChildren's Hospital & Medical Center is a free-standing, state-of-the-art, modern hospital. From across a five-state region and beyond, more than 250,000 children annually seek the experience and expertise of the 145-bed Children's Hospital & Medical Center. The recent addition of the Children's Pediatric Specialty Care Building also provided expansion of 30 pediatric specialty clinics, including the Maternal Fetal Center for high risk newborn deliveries. Our pediatric cardiac program is one of the best in the country, and our operating room is an international referral center for children with Osteogenesis Imperfecta. The anesthesiology department at CHMC has always been an integrated part of patient care delivery. More than 11,000 children are anesthetized annually in 10 different locations in the hospital, including a busy hybrid cardiac cath lab and radiology department. With 11 different pediatric and surgical subspecialty fellowships, our residents and fellows are exposed to all aspects of our patients' care.

Nebraska Orthopaedic HospitalNebraska Orthopaedic Hospital is the only specialty orthopaedic hospital in the State of Nebraska. Nebraska Orthopaedic Hospital has 26 inpatient beds, 8 operating rooms and performs over 6250 anesthetics a year. NOH received certification by the Joint Commission in 2007 and is consistently rated as one of the top hospitals in the region in overall patient care as reported by the CMS/Hospital Compare Patient Experience Results. NOH performs a wide range of orthopaedic procedures including sports medicine, joint replacement, upper extremity, foot, ankle and spine care.
