The Behavioral Health Education Center of Nebraska (BHECN) Earns 2018 Constant Contact All Star Award
Recognized Among Top 10 Percent of Customers Driving Powerful Email Marketing Results
[OMAHA, NE] — [3/19/2019] – The Behavioral Health Education Center of Nebraska (BHECN), has been named a 2018 All Star Award winner by Constant Contact, an Endurance International Group company and a leader in small business marketing solutions. The annual award recognizes the most successful 10 percent of Constant Contact’s customer base, based on their significant achievements using email marketing to engage their customer base and drive results for their organization during the prior year.
BHECN's mission is to create a statewide workforce solution to increase the number of licensed behavioral health professionals. To reach this goal we have an evolving process centered around four major areas of focus: recruitment through the Ambassador Program; preparing and training the future workforce; training and retention of the current workforce; and providing workforce reporting and evaluation. BHECN also supports psychiatric residency programs and recruits trainees for internships in rural and underserved areas of Nebraska. With one out of every five adults in America experiencing a mental health condition and 56 percent lacking access to the care they need, it is important to use our collective resources to help build awareness and facilitate education and training.

Small businesses and nonprofits using Constant Contact’s online marketing tools are eligible for this award. Criteria used to select this year’s All Stars included the following during 2018:
- Level of engagement with email campaigns
- Open, bounce, and click-through rates
- Use of social sharing features
- Use of mailing list sign-up tools
- Use of reporting tools

BHECN was created in 2009 when the Nebraska legislature passed LB 603 to address the statewide crisis in mental health access. Since then, BHECN has received two national awards and is considered a best practice for innovative programs to recruit and retain licensed mental health professionals in rural and urban communities. Housed at UNMC, BHECN has a unique partnership with all of the graduate behavioral health training programs in Nebraska and is dedicated to improving access to behavioral health care across the state.
