ABOUT THE WEBINAR

Borderline personality disorder is a frequent source of distress both to patients and practitioners in primary care settings.  Despite sharing the complaint of “mood swings” with bipolar disorder, it is a distinct diagnosis with its own symptoms, course, and treatment.  This course will address the differential diagnosis of mood swings to assist the primary care physician in the diagnosis and management of borderline personality disorder.

Presenter

Michael Jibson, M.D., Ph.D. is the Director of Psychiatry Residency Education and Professor of Psychiatry at University of Michigan. He is an attending psychiatrist in the adult inpatient unit at the University of Michigan Health System’s University Hospital. He has been on the University of Michigan faculty since 1993.
