Description of supportive courses

These courses are not included in the 30-credit hour program, but are provided to ensure student success.

Enrollment will be based on individual assessment by the Master's Committee.

Supportive courses include

Studying Science – Courses are offered in parallel with the core courses providing didactic information in biomedical science, biochemistry and molecular biology. Both supportive concepts for upcoming lectures and reviews of previous material will be included.

English as a Second Language for Science (ESL) – This is a certificate program designed in partnership with the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) Intensive English Program, to teach non-native speakers of English to better navigate the language of science.  The objective is to assist students in achieving the following goals: improving skills in speaking, listening, and writing English with a focus on the language of science.
