HIPE Abstract Guidelines

The Conference Directors welcome submission of abstracts for the 2019 Heartland Interprofessional Education Conference.


Abstract Submission Guidelines

  1. All abstracts must be in the English language.
  2. Abstracts must be submitted online by March 1, 2019 in .doc or .docx format.
    • The title of the file must include the presenter's name (e.g., Smith-HIPE-abstract.docx).
    • No fax or hard copy submission will be accepted.
  3. The UNMC Center for Continuing Education will NOT edit abstracts for typing, spelling, or grammatical errors. Please carefully check all text for errors before submitting your abstract.
  4. The presenting author must complete and submit a Conflict of Interest form.
    • Please make sure the presenting author's name is included in the title of form that you are submitting (e.g., Smith-HIPE-COI.pdf)

Oral Presentation

A presentation describing important interprofessional research, or innovations in curriculum, assessment, policy, or practice. Submissions should include the following sections:

Length: 30 minutes (20 minutes presentation + 10 minutes for questions)


Workshop

Workshops are interactive sessions focused on the participants, who can expect to develop practical skills and/or gain useful knowledge as a result of their participation. Submissions should include the following sections:

Length: 90 minutes


Poster

Poster presentations provide an opportunity for authors to share and discuss the results of their work with conference attendees, and address topics describing important interprofessional research, or innovations in curriculum, assessment, policy, or practice. Poster presentations may represent works-in-progress. Submissions should include the following sections:

Length: 60 minutes
