To find your foot placement for the Bulgarian split squat, sit at the edge of the bench and extend your legs. Where your heels touch is where you want your foot placement. Your back foot is elevated on the bench behind you. With your belly braced and chest tall, lower your knee down and back towards the bench until your front leg is at 90 degrees. Drive through the planted foot and squeeze the glute to stand. If you would like to add weight to these, you can hold a single dumbbell at the chest, or you can have two dumbbells, one on each shoulder.
