Good mornings Good mornings can be done with a dumbbell or a barbell. Set up is with feet under the hips and weight or bar on the traps or slightly below. Pull the shoulders down and back and brace the belly. With soft knees, send the hips back while keeping the spine neutral. Squeeze the glutes to stand. The range of motion will depend largely on your hamstring mobility and ability to keep a neutral spine. If the shoulders start to pull forward or cave in, you have hinged too far. Your head should stay in line with your spine, and your eyes should follow your hinge.
