There are a number of resources available to Clinical Research Coordinators on campus. Click the links below or to the left to learn more!
UNMC Center for Clinical & Translational Research (CCTR)
The overall goal of UNMC's CCTR is to develop, maintain, and effectively communicate patient-oriented research resources to support and facilitate new translational and multi-institutional research teams.
OnCore® Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS)
The CTMS will automate several of the current manual processes that occur across UNMC/Nebraska Medicine including budgeting, contract tracking, subject and accrual information, and sponsor invoice creation.
EpicCare® Link and Physician Connect
These are web-based applications that provide approved clinical research staff with secure, view-only access to select patients’ UNMC/TNMC/Children's electronic medical records.
One Chart Research Training
Nebraska Medicine offers several One Chart courses designed to assist study coordinators in learning the Epic system and its research functionalities.
The SMART IRB Online Reliance System is designed to harmonize and streamline the IRB review process for multisite studies, while also serving as a roadmap for institutions.
CITI & DOT/IATA Training
All faculty, employees, students and other institutional representatives are required to complete the Human Subjects Research Course from the CITI website if they will be working on a research project that involves human subjects. Also, the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) and the International Air Transport Association (IATA) have regulations related to the shipping of dry ice, infectious specimens, and other biological substances.
Clinical Research Coordinator Certifications
The Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) and the Society of Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA) awards certifications for Clinical Research Coordinators.
