Brandy L. Clarke, PhD
Dr. Brandy Clarke is an associate professor and licensed psychologist in the Department of Psychology at the Munroe-Meyer Institute for Genetics and Rehabilitation at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She is also director of the UNMC Office of Equity (sister office to the Office of Inclusion). Dr. Clarke’s clinical and research interests have largely focused on improving access to behavioral health care for underserved communities, especially those in medically underserved areas or mental health professional shortage areas.
Much of her work centers on creating a diverse workforce to provide equitable access to integrated mental health services in medical and educational settings. She leads several large scale federal training and research grants focused on expanding a diverse behavioral health workforce and improving equitable access to high quality services regionally and nationally. Dr. Clarke serves as project director for the Mid-America Mental Health Technology Transfer Center, a SAMHSA-funded regional training center focused on implementation of evidence-based mental health interventions in Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska.
Dr. Clarke is a member of the American Association of University Women, American Psychological Association Divisions 54 (Pediatric Psychology) and 16 (School Psychology), and Family Involvement Network of Educators. When not working, she enjoys running, snowboarding, and spending time with her husband and two children.
