Offices of Inclusion & Equity

Two Offices, One Goal: An Inclusive Culture

The Office of Inclusion upholds institutional excellence by providing educational and leadership opportunities in a safe environment. We pursue the work today that creates a diverse, culturally humble (“unbiased” prior) and empowered workforce, tomorrow.

The Office of Equity provides leadership in enhancing respectful, diverse and inclusive environments for the UNMC community. Our goal is to serve as a resource for the university and to ensure fair, equitable treatment and practices apply to all regardless of gender, age, race, ethnicity, ability, or sexual orientation.

Enriching experiences

It is through enriching experiences, events and discussions that we get to know each other a little better and realize we are more alike than different. In working to foster a culture of inclusion that values the uniqueness among us, the Offices of Inclusion & Equity:

UNMC offers various opportunities throughout the year for faculty, staff and students to come together. Everyone can attend the Diversity Lecture Series, Culture Fest, Spirit Week, the Holi Festival of Colors, International Week and any events hosted by the Office of Inclusion.
