Group Movement Classes

**Classes are back to being held in person, but they’re also still offered Virtually, in our private Facebook group.  Please see the “Group Movement Class Schedule” link (in the gray box on the right) for more information!

Strength

Description: This class will incorporate strength training using dumbbells & resistance bands. Participants may experience increases in flexibility, strength, endurance, agility, & balance.

T’ai Chi

Description: This class is ideal for those who are new to T’ai Chi.  Participants will be introduced to the Moving for Better Balance T’ai Chi 8 forms that emphasize weight shifting, postural alignment, & coordinated movements.

Stretching

Description: This class will incorporate slow & rhythmic movements to stretch most major muscle groups, which may improve flexibility.

Line Dancing

Description: This class is ideal for those who love to move to music!  It incorporates easy-to-follow line dances & routines.  Dancing can help improve coordination & act as a great cardiovascular workout!

Low Impact

Description: This class includes simple heart-pumping, stepping patterns.  Routines will boost your heart rate and strengthen your muscles. (This can be modified by doing the movements utilizing a platform).

Cardio Box

Description: No equipment needed, the class will include a variety of boxing and martial arts moves including punches & kicks (so a chair for balance will be recommended).  Class will have different levels of participation and the music will be slower than what a regular cardio box class would be. Moves can be modified and done from a chair.

Yoga

Description: This class will include simple flowing sequences to warm up the body, as well as slower-paced movements focusing on alignment, strength, balance, and flexibility.

Circuit

Description: This whole-body intermediate-level workout will provide stations of strength and cardio for participants to rotate through.  Intensity options for all your muscles.  No virtual option for this class!
