Group Movement Classes
These classes are included with Engage Wellness participation at no additional charge.
Description: This class is a low-impact, whole body workout that provides three blocks of fitness: Cardio, Strength, & Flexibility. Intensity options for ALL fitness levels!
Vigor, Tone, and Mightier Bone
Description: This class will incorporate strength training using dumbbells & resistance bands. Participants may experience increases in flexibility, strength, endurance, agility, & balance.
T’ai Chi & Qigong for Wellness and Balance
Description: This class is ideal for those who are new to T’ai Chi. Participants will be introduced to the T’ai Chi 8 forms for balance that emphasize weight shfting, postural alignment, and coordinated movements. Various Qigong forms will be taught, coordinating breath with movement.
T’ai Chi Moving for Better Balance
Description: This class is ideal for those who are familiar with the Moving for Better Balance T’ai Chi forms, or have participated in the beginner class. The class incorporates the Moving for Better Balance evidence-based fall prevention 8 forms and 12 forms of the 24 form Tai Chi. The class involves a set of simple, continuous, rhythmic, and functional T’ai Chi forms that emphasize weight shifting, postural alignment, & coordinated movements.
Description: This class will incorporate slow & rhythmic movements to stretch most major muscle groups, which may improve flexibility.
Description: This class is ideal for those who love to move to music! It incorporates easy-to-follow line dances & routines. Dancing can help improve coordination & act as a great cardiovascular workout!
Description: This class is a beginner level, slow flow, that focuses on mindful movement incorporating breathing techniques and meditation. Classes are designed to create connection between body and mind while being fully “in the moment”. This class will cultivate both strengthening and stretching to create balance within the body.
Description: This intermediate-level class is a whole-body workout that provides stations for participants to rotate through, for a designated amount of time. Intensity options for ALL fitness levels. The variety of exercise stations will boost your heart rate and strengthen your muscles.
