Timothy Knudsen, MD

Assistant Professor

A 1987 graduate of the Medical College of Georgia, Dr. Timothy Knudsen completed his surgical internship and residency at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Virginia. He served as general medical officer on the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower from 1988-1990.  He then returned to the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth for his Otolaryngology residency from 1990 to 1994.  Following residency, Dr. Knudsen went to the Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune in North Carolina as a staff otolaryngologist and department head. He then joined Grand Island ENT in 1996 and practiced there until 2012. Dr. Knudsen moved to Dothan Alabama in May of 2012 to join a private practice.

Dr. Knudsen joined the Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery in 2015 as a general otolaryngologist. Dr. Knudsen is interested in all aspects of otolaryngology especially nasal and sinus disease, thyroid and parathyroid disease, allergy, pediatric ear infections, and tonsil and adenoid problems.
