Dwight Jones Professor & Chairman

Dwight Jones, MD was born, raised, and educated in Nebraska. He attended medical school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. His subspecialty training in Otolaryngology was at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. After this training, he completed a Pediatric Otolaryngology Fellowship at Children's Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts and the Harvard Medical School where he remained on staff for 23 years. In 2012, he left Children's in Boston to become the chairman of the Department of Otolaryngology at the University of Nebraska where he remains today. He has published over 75 articles in medical journals. He currently practices all aspects of Pediatric Otolaryngology at both University Hospital (Nebraska Medicine) and Children's Hospital in Omaha. He trains otolaryngology residents and medical students. He sees and treats pediatric patients (newborn to 18 years of age) with head and neck masses, airway disorders, voice disorders, ear problems, recurrent ear infections, hearing loss, ear fluid, snoring, mouth breathing, tonsillitis, recurrent sinus infections and cystic fibrosis, among others. He works closely with Andrea Ott, PA. Andrea also sees all types of patients with pediatric otolaryngology problems.
