Katie Geelan-Hansen, MD

Assistant Professor

Dr. Geelan-Hansen received her medical degree from the University of Iowa College of Medicine and completed her otolaryngology-head and neck surgery residency at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Following her residency, she went on to fellowship training in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of North Carolina. 

Dr. Geelan-Hansen’s research and professional interests encompass all aspects of aesthetic and reconstructive facial plastic surgery including rhinoplasty, nasal reconstruction, deviated nasal septum surgery, forehead and eyebrow surgeries, blepharoplasty, eyelid surgeries, scar revision, Mohs reconstruction, lip reconstruction, otoplasty. In her free time, Dr. Geelan-Hansen enjoys comedic movies, searching for her next book to read, and finding her new favorite vacation. Dr. Geelan-Hansen is originally from Ruthven, Iowa.
