Leadership Development

Over a Decade of Leadership Excellence

Leadership development at UNMC has a long-standing history of interprofessional collaboration. Formally established in 2001 as the Administrative Colloquium, our longitudinal leadership program has grown and evolved into the iLEAD program.

Interprofessional Leadership for Excellence and Academic Development (iLEAD)

The rapid pace of health care requires strong, innovative leaders who are ready to shape the future of UNMC. Yet the many pressures faculty members frequently confront today affect their ability to impact an organization. To provide faculty with the critical leadership skills they need to play a meaningful role, UNMC Faculty Development offers iLEAD.

This intensive, one-year program accelerates the growth of faculty’s leadership talents so they can immediately apply their new skills for the immediate advancement of UNMC’s success. iLEAD’s curriculum takes the participant through a leadership journey, an excursion of personal and professional assessment and skill building while fostering individual accountability for leading.

Because the iLEAD program takes place every two academic years, the next enrollment period starts during the spring of 2018. After enrollment is opened, applications must be submitted by mid-August 2018. More details will be available closer to the deadline date.
