The Family Medicine faculty continues to teach the full spectrum of family medicine skills to our residents. Family medicine faculty serve as attending physicians for our own hospital and obstetric services. At the same time, residents enjoy the benefits of being taught by expert teaching faculty across multiple medical disciplines.
All residents participate in the two-month Combined Outstate Rural Experience where they have the opportunity to experience life as a rural practitioner. Current sites include Lexington, McCook, Auburn, and Minden - all of which consistently rank as favorite resident training experiences.
