The UNMC Financial Aid Office strives to make the financial aid process as transparent as possible. We understand that UNMC students are significantly more involved in study and clinical activities. Searching for answers to financial aid questions should be easy to find and brief in explanation. We hope to provide clarity on each of our web pages to ensure you do not have to spend time searching for answers to your questions. Sometimes, more in depth information is need. For that, we prefer to take students directly to the source for that information. Much of the financial aid you will receive, while attending UNMC, will be federal student aid…the best resource for explaining these programs is the Department of Education (DE), thus direct links are provided to the DE web site.
Often times our pages will link students to the AAMC (American Association of Medical Colleges) FIRST web site for students. This web site is not just for medical students. All students need to understand the importance of financial aid literacy. The AAMC FIRST website is a well-developed site for all students attending a health science higher education institution. If there were other discipline specific web sites that offered as much information, we would provide those links to you also. They simply do not exist.
Use the menu to the left to find the answers to your questions.
