International Student Association
The International Student Association (ISA) is an UNMC-sponsored group that provides community support and fellowship for UNMC international students. The leadership board hosts informative cultural programs for the UNMC community and assists with the Ambassador program for new international students. ISA organizes the annual International Week, held during the fall semester, and the annual Holi event, which takes place in the spring semester. You can follow them on Facebook.
Graduate Student Association
As the representative body for graduate students at UNMC, the Graduate Student Association (GSA) advocates for graduate student interest across campus. Throughout each semester, GSA hosts social events, seminar speakers, and workshops to aid students in their professional development. Everyone is welcomed to attend our meetings and become involved in GSA. You can follow them on the GSA blog and on Facebook.
The Student Alliance for Global Health (SAGH) is a multi-disciplinary organization on UNMC's campus focused on service and international healthcare founded in 1995. SAGH’s mission is to bring together UNMC students, faculty, and the surrounding community to learn about global health issues and to encourage involvement in efforts to support global health initiatives at home and abroad. The organization features speakers and informative presentations on global health and medicine. The OGE and SAGH also sponsor a philanthropy project every year and offer Medical Spanish classes. They help organize and support the annual medical service spring break trips abroad for UNMC students. Learn more here.
