Faculty, staff, and students traveling from the following countries face restrictions on entry into the United States:
- European Schengen Area (Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland)
- United Kingdom
Current students traveling from these countries with a valid F-1 visa may enter the United States no earlier than 30 days prior to the start of the semester.
New students who currently do not have an F-1 visa will need to apply for and receive a visa. These students will be able to enter the United States no earlier than 30 days prior to August 1, 2021.
Faculty and staff that hold a valid H1B, J, or another nonimmigrant visa will need to contact their nearest U.S. embassy or consulate to apply for and receive a National Interest Exception (NIE) before traveling to the United States.
