International Society of Hypertension Jane F. Reckelhoff Award
New Investigator of the Month for October 2013

The Jane F. Reckelhoff Award is the top honor presented at the International Society of Hypertension (ISH) New Investigators’ Symposium on Hypertension and Cardiovascular Disease, and reflects the excitement garnered by Krupa’s research and her oral presentation (Nanoformulated Copper/Zinc Superoxide Dismutase: Alternative Therapeutic Strategy for Angiotensin II-dependent Neurogenic Hypertension). As a follow-up to receiving this prestigious award, Krupa was named the ISH New Investigator of the Month for October 2013. (view a videoclip)

Krupa served as president of the UNMC Student Senate and student Regent for the University of Nebraska. An MD/PhD scholar, she received her PhD in August 2014 and will subsequently complete the final two years of her medical school training at UNMC.
