Physical and mental wellness is important for anyone, which is why we go above and beyond to offer on-campus services for our students at UNMC. If you’re not feeling your best, you might not be doing your best. We provide ways to help.
The Center For Healthy Living is the place to go for staying fit or getting in shape. The center includes:
- Multi-purpose gym with locker rooms
- Equipment facility
- Fitness training courses
- Fitness assessments and orientation
UNMC also offers a multitude of intramural sports programs that rotate throughout the year. Some sports include basketball, softball, and golf.
Counseling services provided by the Counseling and Student Development Center are designed to help students succeed and overcome the challenges they face. Whether issues arise with your academic performance, psychological well-being, or communication abilities, the center has experienced staff to help you work through the situation. Types of services include:
- Individual/relationship counseling
- Stress management training
- Cognitive behavioral therapy
- Psychological testing
- Academic performance enhancement
- Communication difficulty consultations
