Sara Donovan, MPH
Project Manager I

Sara Donovan joined the Global Center for Health Security team in January 2020, following employment at the University of Nebraska Medical Center’s College of Public Health. As a project manager at the Global Center for Health Security, Sara supports the infectious disease training of federal first responders. Her recent work includes developing onsite and asynchronous training materials for the United States Public Health Service Deployment Safety Academy for Field Experiences (D-SAFE) training program and the creation of educational infographics for the Just-In-Time training on COVID-19 for United States Public Health Service and National Disaster Medical System teams. Sara also serves as the coordinator for the Global Center for Health Security’s Ethics Advisory Committee, a committee dedicated to providing guidance on emerging issues related to health security. Sara received a bachelor’s in biochemistry, cell, and molecular biology from Drake University and holds a Master of Public Health with a concentration in epidemiology from the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
