Pre-bunking vs. de-bunking
Health misinformation is as old as medicine itself, but the age of social media has accelerated its reach. Now a viral TikTok, WhatsApp message, or Facebook post can reach millions in less than a day. Google searching can unwittingly lead those seeking health information to answers that aren’t true or, worse, dangerous. Sometimes, it can be hard to tell what’s real, and what isn’t.
