Almost one in five people in a German cohort had long COVID in 2022<sup><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nature.com\/articles\/d41586-025-03904-w#ref-CR1\">1<\/a><\/sup>, and around one in seven people in the United States were affected by long COVID by late 2023<sup><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nature.com\/articles\/d41586-025-03904-w#ref-CR2\">2<\/a><\/sup>.
