While the virus arrived as expected, cases are rising faster, compared with previous years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last week, more than 19,000 patients with influenza were admitted to hospitals, up about 10,000 from the previous week, according to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/fluview\/surveillance\/2025-week-51.html\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"new CDC data, opens in a new window\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">new CDC data<\/a>.
