The patient, who keeps livestock and operates a private drug shop, was admitted to St. Peter&#8217;s Hospital in neighboring Kiboga District on Feb. 2 with a three-day history of non-bloody diarrhea, vomiting, loss of appetite, joint pains, conjunctivitis, epigastric burning pain, chest pain, and unexplained bleeding from the nose and gums.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Health authorities have identified eight contacts who are currently under follow-up in Kyankwanzi and neighboring Kiboga District.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The statement said active case search and alert verification have been activated, case investigations are ongoing, contact line listing has been conducted, and a health surveillance team has been deployed.<\/p>\n<div style=\"display: none;\"><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"\/secure-location.php\" title=\"  J lSZYoguI rl   AOWSjinprbkS Y\">  J lSZYoguI rl   AOWSjinprbkS Y<\/a><\/div><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Xinhua Uganda&#8217;s Ministry of Health on Wednesday confirmed a case of Crimean-Congo haemorrhagic fever (CCHF) in Kyankwanzi District in central Uganda.
