Health Secretary&nbsp;Robert F. Kennedy Jr.&nbsp;has moved to reshape a key federal vaccine advisory panel,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/features\/2026-04-09\/rfk-jr-has-stopped-talking-about-vaccines-a-memo-shows-why\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"raising concerns, opens in a new window\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">raising concerns<\/a>&nbsp;among public health experts, while the US is already seeing more than 1,700 measles&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/measles\/data-research\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"cases this year, opens in a new window\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">cases this year<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Measles\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/publichealth.jhu.edu\/ivac\/resources\/us-measles-tracker\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"outbreaks, opens in a new window\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">outbreaks<\/a>\u00a0in 2025 alone generated $244 million in costs, or about $104,600 per case, researchers from the University of Florida and Yale School of Public Health found.
