In the DRC, a new confirmed case has been identified in Sud-Kivu Province, expanding the outbreak beyond the previously affected Ituri and Nord-Kivu provinces. The DRC has reported 906 suspected cases, including 105 confirmed cases, along with 223 suspected deaths and 10 confirmed deaths. In Uganda, officials have confirmed 7 cases and 1 death, with 5 of the confirmed cases linked to the first two identified infections. Authorities note that the situation remains fluid and case counts may change as investigations continue.
