Severe cases of RSV, or respiratory syncytial virus, have overloaded children\u2019s hospitals the past few months. In early November,\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2022-11-14\/pfizer-pfe-sanofi-san-fp-astrazeneca-azn-race-to-prevent-rsv-in-infants\" target=\"_blank\">when cases surged<\/a>, about 77% of the country\u2019s pediatric hospital beds were filled with patients, according to an analysis of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/quote\/0219354Z:US\">Health and Human Services Department<\/a>\u00a0data.
