Over the past few weeks, a surge in cases of COVID, the flu and respiratory syncytial virus \u2014 known as RSV \u2014 has been sickening millions of Americans, overwhelming emergency rooms and even causing\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/sections\/health-shots\/2022\/12\/03\/1140185521\/children-fever-medicine-tylenol-motrin-hard-to-find\">a cold medicine shortage<\/a>.
