The program is based on a gradual or paced increase in a patient\u2019s physical activity. The findings showed that before the start of the program, patients were reporting an average of three \u201ccrashes\u201d a week, where they were left physically, emotionally or cognitively exhausted after mild physical or mental exertion. However, six weeks later, at the end of the program, that number was reduced to an average of one crash a week.
