The\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/academic.oup.com\/cardiovascres\/advance-article\/doi\/10.1093\/cvr\/cvac195\/6987834\" target=\"_blank\">study<\/a>, published in\u00a0<em>Cardiovascular Research<\/em>, evaluated the association between COVID-19 and development of cardiovascular disease and mortality. \u201cCOVID-19 patients were more likely to develop numerous cardiovascular conditions compared to uninfected participants, which may have contributed to their higher risks of death,\u201d said Ian C.K.
