{"id":5773,"date":"2024-01-24T09:18:04","date_gmt":"2024-01-24T15:18:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/healthsecurity\/transmission\/?p=5773"},"modified":"2024-01-24T09:18:07","modified_gmt":"2024-01-24T15:18:07","slug":"passengers-left-screaming-after-tesla-detects-ghosts-in-graveyard","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/healthsecurity\/transmission\/2024\/01\/24\/passengers-left-screaming-after-tesla-detects-ghosts-in-graveyard\/","title":{"rendered":"Passengers left screaming after Tesla detects &#8216;ghosts&#8217; in graveyard"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"panel body-content\"><div class=\"panel__container\">\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ladbible.com\/news\/us-news\/tesla-car-detected-ghosts-the-conjuring-house-237700-20240122\">LadBible<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A Tesla driver and his passengers were left shaken up after the car started to detect &#8216;ghosts&#8217; walking through a cemetery near to the real life house from&nbsp;<em>The Conjuring.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The bloke claimed to have been driving through a cemetery near to the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ladbible.com\/entertainment\/film\/the-conjuring-house-documentary-real-life-946103-20231003\">Arnold Estate<\/a>, which is the real-life inspiration for the 2013\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ladbible.com\/tv-and-film\">flick<\/a>, when figures started to appear on the car\u2019s control screen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For those unaware,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ladbible.com\/tesla\">Teslas<\/a>&nbsp;are able to display information about nearby objects &#8211; including pedestrians and other vehicles &#8211; on the central display screen thanks to a number of special sensors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In theory, the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ladbible.com\/cars\">vehicles<\/a>&nbsp;shouldn\u2019t suggest that inanimate objects are people &#8211; nor should they detect&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ladbible.com\/weird\">ghosts<\/a>, but here we are.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the clip, the group can be seen slowly driving through the cemetery as more and more human-shaped figures show up on the screen &#8211; by the end of the clip the Tesla looks fairly surrounded by \u2018ghosts\u2019 as the passengers scream in fright.
