In the U.K.,\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/health-study.joinzoe.com\/data#levels-over-time\" target=\"_blank\">symptomatic infections have steadily increased since August 27<\/a>\u2014the day they hit lowest level this year\u2014<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1016\/S0140-6736(22)00327-0\" target=\"_blank\">according to the ZOE COVID-19 study<\/a>, an App-based project in which patients enter their symptoms on their phone. In the U.S., infection rates among U.S. nursing home residents have risen nine-fold since the end of April, and by August\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.aarp.org\/ppi\/issues\/caregiving\/info-2020\/nursing-home-covid-dashboard.html\" target=\"_blank\">death rates almost quadrupled<\/a>\u00a0in this group, according to the data compiled by the AARP Public Policy Institute and the Scripps Gerontology Center at Miami University in Ohio.
