Most of the cases involved children a year old or older who haven\u2019t yet gotten measles-mumps-rubella, or MMR, vaccinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHealthcare providers should ensure children are current on routine immunizations, including MMR,\u201d the agency said in&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/emergency.cdc.gov\/han\/2024\/han00504.asp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">an a<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/emergency.cdc.gov\/han\/2024\/han00504.asp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">dvisory&nbsp;<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/emergency.cdc.gov\/han\/2024\/han00504.asp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">to medical providers<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seventeen states have reported cases this year.
