Even so, a national covid-19 forecast predicts up to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/coronavirus\/2019-ncov\/science\/forecasting\/hospitalizations-forecasts.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">3,400 daily covid hospital admission<\/a>s in late April.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All told,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/covid.cdc.gov\/covid-data-tracker\/#deaths-landing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">nearly 1.2 million<\/a>&nbsp;U.S. residents have died of covid-19, according to the CDC\u2019s Covid Data Tracker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/respiratory-viruses\/prevention\/hygiene.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">To protect against a range of respiratory viruses<\/a>, including the virus that causes covid-19, health experts recommend vaccination, along with good hygiene practices, including covering your nose and mouth when coughing or sneezing, washing your hands frequently with soap and water or using hand sanitizer, and regularly cleaning frequently touched surfaces \u2014 like doorknobs, railings, desks and countertops.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Washington Post As the United States eased into spring, only two states had increases or likely increases in&nbsp;coronavirus&nbsp;infections as of March 30, according to&nbsp;an update from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
