Her young daughter squeezes some into her cup, too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/@ballerinafarm\/video\/7367618419480448298\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">video<\/a>&nbsp;of Neeleman\u2019s raw milk latte has been viewed 8 million times on her&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/ballerinafarm\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Instagram<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/@ballerinafarm?lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TikTok<\/a>&nbsp;accounts, Ballerina Farm, since it was posted on May 11. In videos across social media, people are showing themselves drinking raw milk, claiming it offers health benefits that are lost in pasteurized milk, which is heated to kill disease-causing pathogens. One&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/reel\/C6Wxhfgo3nP\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">influencer<\/a>&nbsp;squirts it from the teat into his mouth. Another&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/reel\/CyM1JE_rULt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">says<\/a>&nbsp;raw milk is \u201cpure.\u201d (Neeleman declined a request for an interview.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dairy farmers who sell raw milk say demand is on the rise. But U.S. public health officials have long\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fda.gov\/food\/buy-store-serve-safe-food\/dangers-raw-milk-unpasteurized-milk-can-pose-serious-health-risk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">warned<\/a>\u00a0about the risks of drinking raw milk \u2014 especially now, as a highly virulent bird flu is infecting dairy cows across the country. On Wednesday, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported a Michigan dairy worker had been\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/health\/2024\/05\/22\/bird-flu-detected-michigan-dairy-worker\/?itid=lk_inline_manual_7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">infected<\/a>\u00a0with theavian flu virus, the second U.S. human case in less than two months that has been linked to the H5N1 outbreak in dairy cattle.
