A local pediatrician specialist told MySA that cases of hand, foot, and mouth disease (HFMD) typically spike in the late spring and early summer.\u00a0 While it&#8217;s easy to transmit, it&#8217;s an illness children commonly bounce back from after 7 to 10 days. It is common in children under 5, but anyone can get it.
