But the spread of the virus to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/bird-flu\/situation-summary\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">129 dairy herds in 12 U.S. states, opens new tab<\/a>\u00a0signals a change that could bring it closer to becoming transmissible between humans.
