The World Health Organization (WHO) last week&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/business\/healthcare-pharmaceuticals\/who-declares-mpox-global-public-health-emergency-second-time-two-years-2024-08-14\/\">declared mpox<\/a>&nbsp;a global public health emergency for the second time in two years as a new variant of the virus spread rapidly in Africa.
