How long will this last?"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"panel body-content\"><div class=\"panel__container\">\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/news\/health\/2024\/09\/25\/covid-variant-cases-update-2024\/75349275007\/\">USA Today<\/a> COVID-19 cases continue to fall throughout the country after a large summer wave peaked in early August, surveillance data shows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The percentage of positive COVID-19 tests dropped from 17.8% the week of Aug. 10 to 14.9% the week of Sept. 7,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/covid.cdc.gov\/covid-data-tracker\/#trends_select_testpositivity_00\">according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention<\/a>.
