The survey was conducted in early August.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>55 percent\u00a0<\/strong>definitely or probably will get a flu shot,<strong>\u00a034 percent<\/strong>\u00a0definitely or probably will not.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>40 percent\u00a0<\/strong>definitely or probably will get the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/health\/2024\/08\/22\/new-coronavirus-vaccine-covid?itid=lk_inline_manual_13\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">updated coronavirus vaccine<\/a>, while\u00a0<strong>45 percent<\/strong>\u00a0definitely or probably will not.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>38 percent<\/strong>\u00a0of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/vaccines\/hcp\/vis\/vis-statements\/rsv.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">eligible older adults\u00a0<\/a>definitely or probably will get an RSV vaccine, while\u00a0<strong>25 percent\u00a0<\/strong>definitely or probably will not.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Washington Post Federal health officials are urging Americans to get vaccinated ahead of the respiratory virus season as new survey data shows tepid interest in getting shots.
