By September 30, Marburg had already\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nature.com\/articles\/d41586-024-03218-3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">infected 27 humans and killed nine<\/a> As of October 7, Rwanda&#8217;s government stated that\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/traveler-screenings-marburg\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the outbreak&#8217;s toll<\/a>\u00a0had reached at least 56 confirmed infections and 12 deaths.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Out of an abundance of caution,&#8221; the CDC announced a plan to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/traveler-screenings-marburg\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">screen all international travelers<\/a>\u00a0arriving from Rwanda starting the week of October 14.
