In North America,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/babesiosis\/about\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"babesiosis, opens in a new window\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">babesiosis<\/a>&nbsp;typically occurs in the Northeast and the Upper Midwest.
